Birthright Israel

Friends w/Special Needs

CIE brought adults with cognitive disabilities & their aides on a Birthright Israel Experience.

Birthright Israel provides the gift of group-based educational trips for Jewish young adults ages 18 to 26 who have never experienced Israel. Birthright Israel's founders created this program that sends thousands of young Jewish adults from all over the world to Israel for free in order to:

  • Diminish the growing division between Israel and Jewish communities in the Diaspora
  • Strengthen the sense of solidarity with world Jewry
  • Deepen participants' personal Jewish identity and connection to the Jewish people.

“It was significant for me to meet born and raised Israeli's to have a real look into their lifestyle, the predicament they face, and above all, how they are the same as any other intelligent, warm people I may meet anywhere else in the world. The trip offered a look into my lineage and into a rich Jewish/Israeli history. It did so in an unforgettably fun, adventurous way that everyone must experience.”

Steven S.

“Birthright Israel created an opportunity of a lifetime for me. Without Taglit I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to travel around Israel and see it for its true beauty while learning about its history and the importance of Judaism. I was able to bring back with me the sense of being a Jew as opposed to just being Jewish which is very strong in meaning for me. It was a true gift that is priceless in every way!”

Brenda M.

“Birthright Israel is a wonderful experience for every young member of the Jewish community; it provides us with a sense of knowing, belonging, and heritage. It is highly recommended for anyone eligible to participate, as the connections made to the land and people of Israel, along with the excitement and adventure, are bound to last a lifetime.”
